Q. I can't renew an item because a hold request has been placed on it. What's that?


Attempting to renew an item when there is a hold request listed for it means that another student would like to use this item as well and has reserved the material for when it is returned back to the library. When a hold request is placed, the library item will not be renewable. A "Hold Request" may be placed at the Circulation Desk for circulating materials that are presently out on loan. The item will be held for the requester when it is returned.
